About the Author:

Teja Gerken is a guitarist, journalist, educator, and video producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to cofounding the roots music learning website Peghead Nation in 2014, he held the position of gear editor and senior editor at Acoustic Guitar magazine for more than 15 years. He has also written extensively for Fretboard Journal, Guitar Player, Premier Guitar, and InTune, as well as Germany's Gitarre & Bass and Akustik Gitarre magazines. He has contributed to several books, and his writing-related travels have taken him to every major guitar manufacturer dozens of luthiers in the USA, and several abroad. As a guitarist, Gerken has released two albums of solo acoustic fingerstyle tunes, On My Way and Postcards. He owns a 1994 Taylor 712c and a 1999 Taylor 355.
