iZotope's new Ozone 6 has been reviewed by two leading music websites in Germany. Both are lengthy, in-depth reviews complete with audio examples and screen captures.
For Amazona.de, Armin Bauer sums up his findings by saying (translated from German): "Ozone 6 is simply fun! The clearly laid-out interface makes it easy to orient oneself immediately and to achieve results quickly. The presets are very helpful for beginners. The documentation - unfortunately only in English - offers comprehensive training. Of course, Ozone 6 is not meant to replace a high-end mastering in a specialized studio, but the program far exceeds the capabilities of individual plug-ins in a DAW. It's very noticeable that this product has been continuously improved over the past 12 years by the developers - these people know what they're doing. I find Ozone 6's price point unbeatable considering the performance; more difficult is Ozone 6 Advanced - the expanded features are pretty expensive. But this will not scare professional users, and the semi-pro will be happy with the standard version."

Felix Klostermann posts his experience on music portal Bonedo.de (translated from German): "With the Ozone update, iZotope presents a clear improvement of details and a number of new features for the owners or new usersof the standard version of Ozone 6. Both the standard and the advanced bundles can also be used stand-alone which is a big value added for the mastering hobbyist and ambitionous musicians. It will ensure the final polish for a music production. In addition to that, 'Advanced' customers get a new Dynamic EQ which really convinced me and is a true alternative to the standard compressor/EQ. Furthermore, this verson allowsthe use of all processors as individual plug-ins which makes the Advanced version considerably more flexible and reduces the CPU need of the standard vversion.
Ozone 6 remains an authority when it comes to 'One-Stop-Mastering'-tools. I only find the pricing and the update policy for the Advanced version a bit too much and don't think the update is really worth it. The price of the new standard version, however, is now even more attractive and I strongly recommend that version of Ozone 6."
